Colin Charles works at Monty Program Ab, on MariaDB, and Open Ocean Investments on Web of Trust, and MoSync. He lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (after having moved from Melbourne, Australia in April 2008) and has worked with MySQL since 2005. Before joining MySQL, he worked actively on the Fedora and OpenOffice.org projects. He currently spends a lot of his time making community-based projects happy using the MySQL database. His main role is to deal with distributions shipping MySQL, but he’s also co-ordinated the MySQL participation in the Google Summer of Code. He’s spoken at many conferences – linux.conf.au, The MySQL Conference & Expo, foss.in, to name a few.
