MySQL Cluster Tutorial (full day)

A Hands on MySQL Cluster 5.1 Tutorial. We’ll cover the basics: What Is MySQL Cluster, what you can do with it, what it doesn’t do. Then we’ll cover some concepts: what node types there are, arbitration, split brain problem and transaction durability. We will then cover running a cluster: starting the nodes, running queries, what happens during node failure and node recovery. We'll also cover basic administration, taking and restoring backups Planning deploying of MySQL Cluster will be discussed as well as the coverage of features new to MySQL 5.1 such as replication and disk data. We’ll also briefly talk about the NDB API and how it can be used to write C++ applications that directly access the cluster. Finally, we’ll also talk about training, consulting and certification related to MySQL Cluster. This is a hands on session. We will help you install and run MySQL Cluster on your Linux based laptop.
